Set up sound-reactive lighting in the ideal LED App so your LED lights dance to music using your phone or a hardware microphone.
The ideal LED App can make your lights react to sound in real time — perfect for parties, gaming and movie nights.
Turn on rhythm mode
- Open a paired light set in the app.
- Tap the Rhythm (music) mode.
- Choose your sound source: your phone microphone or a connected hardware microphone.
- Play music nearby and your lights will pulse with the beat.
Get the best results
- Place the microphone source near the speakers for a stronger reaction.
- Lower background noise gives cleaner, more accurate beat detection.
- Try different rhythm styles to match the mood — softer for ambient music, punchier for dance tracks.
Good to know
Rhythm mode listens to live sound through a microphone; it reacts to whatever audio is playing around the device. If your lights aren't reacting, check that the app has microphone permission in your phone's settings and that the volume is high enough.
